Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are in place to ensure fair access to appointments, a safe and respectful environment, and the highest standard of clinical care for all patients.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all patients receiving assessment or treatment from BP Podiatry.
By booking an appointment or attending the clinic, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Appointments and Payment

  • All appointments must be booked and paid for in advance via the online booking system

  • Payment at the time of booking secures your appointment

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments

Appointments are reserved specifically for you.

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment

  • Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or in the event of non-attendance (DNA), the full appointment fee will be retained.

Extenuating circumstances may be considered at the clinician’s discretion.
Where late cancellations or missed appointments occur repeatedly, BP Podiatry reserves the right to decline further appointments or discharge the patient from care.

Late Arrival

  • If you arrive late, you will be treated for the remaining appointment time only

  • The full appointment fee will be retained

  • If BP Podiatry runs late, the full appointment time will be honoured.

Medical Information and Patient Responsibility

Patients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date medical information, including relevant medical conditions, medications, and previous treatments.

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may:

  • Affect the safety or effectiveness of treatment

  • Result in treatment being modified, postponed, or declined

Where treatment cannot proceed due to incomplete or inaccurate medical information, the full appointment fee will be retained.

Children and Young People

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the appointment.

If a patient under 18 attends without a parent or legal guardian, treatment cannot proceed and the full appointment fee will be retained.

Behaviour and Conduct

BP Podiatry aims to provide a safe and respectful environment.

Inappropriate, abusive, aggressive, or threatening behaviour — including verbal abuse — will not be tolerated.
BP Podiatry reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment immediately in these circumstances. The full appointment fee will be retained.

Scope of Practice

BP Podiatry provides musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry assessment and treatment only.
Emergency or out-of-hours care is not provided.

Consent to Assessment and Treatment

By attending an appointment, you consent to podiatry assessment and treatment.
You may ask questions at any time and may withdraw consent for treatment at any point.

Clinical Outcomes

While every effort is made to provide high-quality, evidence-based care, resolution of symptoms cannot be guaranteed.

Treatment outcomes vary depending on individual circumstances, the nature of the condition, and adherence to advice or treatment plans.

BP Podiatry cannot accept responsibility where:

  • Advice or treatment plans are not followed

  • Information provided by the patient is incomplete or inaccurate

Insurance and Fees

BP Podiatry does not work with or register directly with insurance companies.

It is the sole responsibility of the patient to:

  • Check whether their insurance provider covers podiatry treatment

  • Confirm whether treatment at BP Podiatry would be accepted for a claim.

On request, BP Podiatry can provide an invoice or receipt, including consultation details and the clinician’s HCPC registration number.
Submission and acceptance of any insurance claim remains the patient’s responsibility.

Clinical Records and Confidentiality

Confidential clinical records are maintained in line with UK data protection legislation.
